“A christening photoshoot in Palanga can become one of the most beautiful family moments – that’s exactly what little Saulė’s day was, full of emotions and warmth.”
Every photo tells a story — and Saule’s christening day was a story filled with sunshine, family love, and the pure joy only a little child can bring. From sacred moments at the altar to laughter in the garden, this day reminded me once again why I love being a family photographer in Lithuania.
💒 Where It All Began: St. Virgin Mary’s Assumption Church
The heart of this beautiful day was the St. Virgin Mary’s Assumption Church in Palanga — a place full of peace, history, and spiritual presence. As guests arrived and soft organ music played, little Saule — in her delicate white gown — became the center of everyone’s attention.
There were happy tears, gentle touches, and lots of whispered blessings. Even during the more serious parts of the ceremony, Saule managed to sprinkle the moment with giggles — proving once again that children bring life wherever they go.
👣 Light-Hearted Steps in the Botanical Garden
After the ceremony, we headed to one of my favorite photo spots: Palanga City Botanical Park. With sunbeams streaming through the trees and benches inviting families to rest and cuddle, the setting couldn’t have been more perfect.
Saule, still glowing with energy, explored the garden with her brother and grandparents, chasing light, laughter, and dandelions. These are the kinds of photos that don’t need posing — they’re made of connection, movement, and natural joy.
📸 Pro tip for families: Bring a change of shoes for the little ones, and don’t worry about perfection — authenticity makes the most magical portraits.

👵 Grandma’s Hands, Grandpa’s Eyes. Dressed with gentle elegance, they watched their granddaughter being blessed — eyes soft, smiles tender. You could see it in the way grandma adjusted Saule’s dress, smoothing the lace with familiar hands that had done the same for Saule’s mother decades ago. You could feel it in the way grandpa whispered a quiet. In those moments, I remembered why I love capturing multi-generational love — the kind of love that speaks without words.
👦 A Brother’s Proud Smile
Outside, under the shade of Palanga City Botanical Park, Saule’s big brother ran circles around her, always keeping one eye on the camera — and one on her. He helped her sit on the grass. He gave her a dandelion. He made her laugh. At one point, he whispered something into her ear and she broke into a smile so genuine, I barely had time to lift my camera. It’s in these spontaneous moments that the soul of sibling photography comes alive.
🌿 A Family Rooted in Love
This wasn’t just a baptism. It was the celebration of a family’s history, strength, and gentle bond. For a photographer, it’s rare to find such an emotionally open family — one that laughs easily, embraces often, and sees photography not as posing, but as storytelling. “I wanted these moments to feel like memories you can hold in your hands,” I told them. And when they looked at their gallery, I could see that it worked.
